A limited edition rum and oak chip beer that weighs in at 7.4% abv. Built on a foundation of 5 specialty malts and featuring just one hop variety, it’s rich, boozy, and brings a little Caribbean flair to our craft.
The nose is a combination of rich espresso and vanilla. It’s a full-bodied expression of the style with prominent notes of dark rum, ripe forest berries, and indulgent chocolate brownies.

Can. This is rather sad. Ten of ten on nose with rum/maple syrup/vanilla combo. But on tongue it goes significantly down and missing a major thing. Maybe higher voltage would help? Less of artificial feel? Dunno...

Can from the brewery online shop. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Strong artificial vanilla ice cream and chocolate aromas. Smells like a child's dessert. Taste is chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla. It's a bit much. Sickly sweet finish.

Can from ASDA Supermarket, Manchester. Black with next to no head. Apart from its colour, the 'stout' elements of the brew are much negated by the heavy, but not overbearing tastes and flavours in this specialist ale. Vanilla dominates its aroma, with a sweet rum flavour in taste, with the vanilla again dominating its aftertaste. Although stated, none of this gets overbearing, although with its strength and slight booziness it means it's never going to be sessionable!

440ml can. Very dark brown with a thin off white head. Sweet aroma of rum and vanilla. Flavour has more of the same, but also chocolate and coffee notes and a nice boozy warmth

Can at home picked up from Tesco maybe. Aclear dark mahogany brwon coloured pour with a lasting creamy mid tan head. Aroma is sweet, jammy fruits, fruit and rum, nut, vanilla, cake malts, adjunct heavey. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, woody tannin, jammy fruits, vanilla sponge, toasted malts,. loads of adjuncts. Palate is medium sweet, sticky, rounded, vanilla, moderate carbonation, some woody tannin. not great.
