Bottle. deep dark brown color. Chocolate and licorice in the malty aroma and flavor. Sweet and just a tad thin. Caramel. moderately hopped, but there are some earthy and fruity notes. Good balance and a taste bomb for its modest ABV. Earthy bitter aftertaste. Good!

Fra flaske (batch 36, brygget 17.10.03!) på RB-treff på Vistnes: fantastisk å kunne smake en årgangsøl fra NØ sin spede start. Null skum og liten munnfylde, men med en tydelig smak av rosiner og en touch av stjerneanis. Mer en kurositet enn smaksopplevelse.

Bottle courtesy of Yngwie, vintage 2004. Clear dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, chocolate, a little roasted malt and a bit oxidized. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and roasted light bitter finish. For a 2004 beer with a low ABV this has held up really well. 271112

(Bottle, batch 317, on 2009-01-14) Dark ruby red. Medium sized lightly tan coloured head with quite large bubbles. Head disappeared quickly. Fruity, roasty, sweet and spicy nose. Full bodied palate, quite dry and medium carbonation. Malts, roastedness, spiciness, bitterness, some liquorice in somewhat watery taste. Roastedness and bitterness in quite long lasting aftertaste.

500ml Bottle in Pikkulintu, Helsinki- Dark brown with tinges of red. Fruity, hoppy and chocolatey aroma. Hoppy and chocolatey taste with a roasted element. Very nice to drink and good for the strength. Very enjoyable.
