As you might have deduced by our brewery name Hop Notch, we are quite fond of hops. We are also very intrigued by the elegance and balance of pale lager beers. In this hop-forward beer we have combined the aromatics of an American IPA with the crisp drinkability of a German- inspired Helles lager. This is what India Pale Lager/ Hoppy Lager is all about. Quite Hell of a lager, if we might say so.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is citrus, some peach and mild floral, grassy and herbal tones. Flavour is floral, fruity, grassy and some mild rubbery tones with a bit of earth to it. Nice IPL.

Can from Systembolaget beställningssortiment. A bit hazy pale yellow with a small white head. Grass, bread, mild citrus and grapes. Medium bitter.

Blekgul med lite dis. Tätt skum. Humleblommig doft med citrus och vanilj. Humleblommig smak med grapefrukt, lime och citron. Inte så tokig, men skulle kanske behöva lite mera kropp.

Halmgul vätska med småbubbligt skumtäcke. Aromer av gräs, grape och ljust bröd. Markerad maltighet, ren och utan kladd. Balanseras med en gräsig ren beska.

--Canned at Adelsö Ölfestival. -- Clear pale golden, small head. Aroma of grapes, grass and bread. Mid sweet with light body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Bready with grapes and grass. Mid bitter finish.
