This beer taught us that patience truly is a virtue. KBS is a big imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolate and then bourbon barrel-aged to perfection. Incredibly silky and full-bodied with notes of vanilla, cocoa, roasted coffee and charred oak.

Aroma: Dark roasted malt with ripe dark berries and some alcohol. Flavour: Roasted malt and fruity sweetness with coffee and chocolate. Aftertaste is malt, oaky with some bitterness. Colour: Black with a brown head. From: Bottle @ Voldby Købmandsgaard out of business sale

Smooth, roasty and heavy with coffee notes, hints of bourbony vanilla and oakiness. Classic OMT stuff, still pretty good.

(Five variant KBS vertical) Poured from 355mL bottle (bottled 05.23.23 - 12%; thanks Derek & JF). Very dark brown with small beige head. Ashy roast malt, coffee backing, simple well made base beer.

Dark brown. Not much head on this pour. Lots of coffee on the nose, along with some dark sugars. On the palate, it comes across lighter than I was expecting, with mellow coffee accents.
