Malmö July tasting at Palace Hall (08/07/2023) - resinous bitter hoppy and sweet caramel malty west coast leaning brew, some resinous sticky expressive hops, hop spice, set upon a caramel malty backbone, resinous assertive bitter hoppy finish. Great stuff.

Gylden brun klar med beige skum. Lukter lett brent karamell, løvetannstilk og barnål. Fyldig og bitter. Smaker alkohol, karamell og barnål. Lang alkohol i avslutningen.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Golden colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, floral, nectary, some alcohol gluelike sweetness (well on the border to disturb with the glue). Flavour is fruity, floral, some spicy tones with alcohol and some balancing up bit bitter and wooden tones. Aroma is not the best, but the rest is rather nice.

--Canned, from Systembolaget. -- Clear deep golden, mid sized head. Aroma of peach juice. Very sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel. Peach in syrup, apricot brandy and mild citrus. Harsh alcohol and long bitterness in the finish.

Burk stor Dipa provning med PQ i sommarhuset . Här har vi tuttifrutti och mango 🥭 samt passion . Jättegod 😋. Ja lite väl söt för få topp betyg av mig. Detta en av de bästa på provningen.

Can pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is deeply hazy orange with lots of fine particulates in suspension, trace sparkle, 1/2-finger width cap of foamy off-white head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is citrus, fruit and bready malt backbone. Taste is citrus, piney astringency, bready/caramel malt and light harsh alcohol. Palate is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, mild pleasant alcohol warmth, soft carbonation and mostly malty finish with some bitter pine. Overall, this lives up to its billing as a California-style DIPA with the basic features you'd expect, though likely not quite in all its glory as this was old (born 12/18). Still, some complexity remains and nice features of alcohol (warmth) outweighs some harshness.
Gets you wasted. See ya.
