Frische Hefe in Komposition mit Hohenloher Spezialmalzen – ein grandioses dunkles Bier. Frisch gezwickelt ist es angenehm weich und begeistert mit einem zarten Duft von Röstnoten.

Bottle @ home. Clear red color, small off - white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell and taste malts, sweetness, lightly earthy. Average carbonation, average to medium body. Not bad.

33cl Bottle via bierkoning, thanks Edo! Clear dark brown colour, dense off-white head. Aroma of light caramel, some synthetic stuff, light malty, cocoa. Flavour is light malty, again a bit synthetic, cocoa, light chocolate and caramel in the finish. Light-bodied.

500ml Bottle drank on 23 Feb 2013 in Berlin. Grubby brown looking brew: not fully clear or clean looking. Off-white head that didn’t hang around for a closer inspection. Malty, dirty nose: not unpleasant, but not pleasant either. The taste was also a dirty malt flavour with hints of hop bitterness towards the end of each gulp. Grainy and earthy feel from the start, different and worth finding: not great but certainly worthy of trying if you come across it in your travels.

500 ml screwcap bottle from the Poetzsch border shop near Kruså / Flensburg. ABV is 5.3%. Pours fizzy. Fairly dark brown colour, moderate off-white head. Pleasant and fresh malty aroma, hints of ripe Nordic fruits and fresh bread. The flavour is malty with notes of brown bread and caramel, also some fruity notes, decent hops in the finish. One of the better beers from Crailsheimer Engelbräu.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark amber whith thick white head. Dark aroma of malt and grain. A rather sourish, grainy taste. Bready aftertaste. OK but not a masterpiece.

One might mistake this for a cola bier, it’ so sweet. The nice coffee bitterenss of, say, Kostritzer is missing. Nice fluffy head wiht sticky lacing, dark brown color, but almost no scent and taste is far too sweet, almost porterish.

Cloudy light brown with a small off-white head. Yeasty aroma with some bready and biscuit malt character. Sweetish malty flavour with a bit too much unclean yeast flavour

Poured a dark brown with a light brown semi thick head. Aroma was a sweet caramel or chocolate. Sweet burnt malt flavor with a suttle bitter spice finish.

50cl bottle, thanks to Tomaz.

Bottle at Home. Amber color with a quickly dissolving off white head. Sweet malty aroma and flavour. Caramel, some ripe fruit. Very light bitterness at the finish.
