Brewery tap, tasted on the first day that this beer is available (Anstich). No clear aroma, except from a touch of smoke but a lovely smoky flavor. Malty. Some barnyard notes. Very nice!

On tap at the pub, rated as Maibock. Amber in the glass, smooth and malty in the beginning. The beer is slightly roasted, slightly sweet. smooth-malty with a sweetish malty character. But not too sweet. The aftertaste is smooth, slightly malty-roasted, smooth and slightly bitter.
Easy-drinking, malty Bock. Nice. 12/12/12/12

Draught at the brewpub. Almost clear copper/brown. Lactic, earthy, buttery nose. Mid sweet with medium-full body. Sweet and richly malty with soft mouthfeel. Erathy with some tobacco, blueberry and butter, slightly lactic. Interesting, cpomplex and with huge potential. I get the feeling that I came across it in imperfect shape but still loved it.

From tap at the brewpub as Erntebock. Pours hazy dark brwn with a thick and white head. Aroma is toasted malty and slight breadish, alcohol too. Bitter and toasted malt flavoured. Roasted and dry malty finish.

13/12/12/13//12

On tap (@ the brewery): Amber to dark amber coloured, small white foam, rather quickly diminishing; malty and fruity nose with a distinctive touch of barnyard; sweetish malty flavour, medium bodied; malty, again, finish with distinctive waves of smoke in the aftertaste. All in all a well rounded, moreish Bock........

(tap at the Brauhaus) Clear and dark amber colour with a moderate stable foamy off-white head. Sweet malty nose with a shy fruity and herbal hoppy note. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel, sweet malty taste with dried fruits (raisins), lingering sweetbitter and smoked malty finish with barnyard character and a light hoppy note. Pleasant, quaffable and even moreish smoked Altbier-Bock.
