pitch black color. Thin head, big massive Japanese whiskey notes with iodine, molasses, dark chocolate, tons of dark fruit.iodine, molasses, low carbonation. Full body. Barrel is very pronounced though not mind blowing depth

WCB Curious Conundrum 11% BA Imperial Stout Deep inky black with the tiniest wisps of light tan foam. I’d say it’s a good example of a solid BA imperial stout though the cost is quite high (5000¥+) though I’m glad a friend shared it at a recent tasting. Better value would be to get two or three of WCB’s Black Book series.

Black with lace. Nose is vanilla, caramel, chocolate, oak. Whisky notes abound int he flavor, soft, low carbonation, vanilla, oak, Shizuoka whisky. Good, but does nothing to merit the ludicrous pricing.
