Pours ebony into an English pint. Tan whipped cream head volcanoes as it slowly recedes. Clean chocolate malt aromas. Crisp and a little thin with a slightly sour bitter middle and a lasting metallic finish.

Rich chocolate aroma accompanied by roasted malt. The color is an opaque brown/black, but strong light reveals ruby hilites at the edges. The beige head is several fingers and persistent. The carbonation is so vivid that the body is difficult to determine. The whole thing goes fizzy, creamy in the mouth. The flavor is very roasted malt, balanced with some chocolate, and enough bitter to be noticeable. Coffee seems to pop up now and again. The finish is definitely dry, and the dark toasted malt (tending towards the original Guinness) is present. The bitter is present, and a pleasant accompaniment to the dark malt. Way underrated.

Bottle Pours a very dark brown wth a small quick light tan head. Lots of dark roasted aroma. flavor was campfire and burnt steak with a slight touch of yesterdays crushed out ciggarette butt mixed in. Fairly thin feel and a bit acidic trailer. These stouts from across the pond are in general not to my liking so much. Thanks Jordan

Bottle: Pours a dark brown with a medium tan head. Nose is heavy roasted malt and coffee, maybe a bit of smoke. Taste is mix of coffee and roasted malt, hints of cocoa, and a dry bittersweet note. Thanks to BuchDich for sharing this one.
