For our first beer under the Theogony Project which we named GOD OF GODS we teamed up with our friends from Avon NY, the almighty Mortalis Brewing Company for a unique imperial monstrous stout !!!
We used a big , high-dextrin malt base which we boiled for 7 hours, in order to achieve an oily and extra viscous body almost like crude oil. After the fermentation we dosed this monster with loads of vanilla and few more tons of toffee caramel to create a creme brûlé pastry-like experience.

On tap at Basement Beer Bar. It pours an oily black body under a small, creamy, tan head. The aroma is lightly alcoholic, with roasted malts, dark chocolate, some licorice and burnt notes and a touch of licorice and brown sugar. It's full bodied, silky and sweet on the palate, with a very gentle carbonation. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, alcohol, brown sugar, caramel, licorice hints and some herbal hints in the flavor. Long warming finish. A bit sweet this one, but nice anyway. 230807

Sweet, sticky and caramely syrupy with some powdery vanilla notes, hints of roastiness, chocolate and cocoa.
