Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is nutty indeed with chocolate, coconut, dark malt, vanilla, almond. Fairly sweet with a moderate bitterness. Above medium body, drinks below its 10% abv.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Semi opaque dark brown beer, decent bubbly tan head, but it's a transient thing. Light smooth malts, a light dark malt creamy sweetness. Light chocolate cake, a little chocolate candy. Mellow fruity bourbon. Dark chocolate Malteasers. A little dark chocolate bitterness. Fruity bourbon linger. Nice job. Light but rich.

Can at home, from an online peddler whom I can't recall, 17/03/24. Token Irish beer on St Paddy's day! Lighter shade of black with a tan head that thins edgewards. Nose is cacao nibs, toffee, almond, chocolate praline, dark malts, light roast. Taste comprises candied fruit rinds, coconut shavings, light roast, almonds, chocolate, light spice, shades of dark chocolate Bounty Bar. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of alcohol. Fun enough easy drinking Impy stout ... comes in well below the stated 10%.

Black with a medium sized foamy brown head. Boozy with strong coconut, cocoa and vanilla. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Black, small head. Aroma of boiled milk, caramel and coconut. Very sweet with perfumy almond flavouring, boiled milk, caramel, milk chocolate and saccharine. Finishes with aching sweetness and lingering coconut. There are degrees of hell. This is on the tolerable side of pastry stout. Given a choice of horse dung and this, I might opt for the latter.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Pitch black colour, small off-white head Aroma is nutty, some mint chocolate, mild herbal, almonds and coconut tones with vanilla and some alcohol sweetness too. Flavour is quite much following the pattern of the aroma, but at the same time shows the toast and mild wooden tones to it. Lovely balance and elements to it.
