Bottle. Pours a beautiful clear, copper body with a small, diminishing off-white head. Caramel sweet and fruity nose with a roasted touch. Quite pleasant actually, in an easy-to-drink way. The flavor has a little grainy touch that I didn’t like, but it’s mostly caramel-sweet and pleasantly fruity with a little roastiness. Medium body. Quite toffeeish in the finish, as well as a little fruity bitter. Quite nice one, easy to drink and easy to down. When finishing it, I have second thoughts, but let my rating stand. The beer might be too sweetish in the finish, but there’s enough bitterness to cope with it. (080329)

Bottled. A red-amber beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with fresh notes of hops combined with notes of caramel and nuts, leading to a dry nutty finish that also has a light bitterness. Thanks Papsoe for this beer.

Bottle: Copper coloured, bigger, quite creamy and firm off-white head, sweet-malty, caramelly nose with an increasing dry roast-malty touch; medium bodied, moderate sweet-bitter flavour; drier bitter-malty finish with an almost "smoky" tinge in the aftertaste. A real decent one........

Bottle. Really nice homey aroma, almos meadlike, a bit spice and roast. Beautiful chestnut colour, creamy lacing brown head. Roasted sugar start, blueberries, a bit chocolate, lots of roast in the back of the throat. Medium to light, slightly sticky body. Chocolate and coffee doppelbocklike aftertaste. Not often that you get that much flavor packed in a Dunkel - nice!

(33cl bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a fluffy, slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and toasty malt-accented aroma with caramel, liquorice, a whiff of herbal hops and a hint of acidic fruity notes. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium to light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Toast-malty taste with light notes of liquorice and a very subtle berry-fruitiness. Not very rounded bitter-sweet finish with a touch of marzipan and herbal hops.
