330ml bottle from Saveur Biere - Clear golden amber, little white head. Nose is smoked bacon, or sausages, you choose. Wood smoke taste, quite sweet, bready and a bit weedy. For a rauchbier not bad.

Day 8 of the Beer Hawk Advent Calendar on Day 9. Aroma combines smoke with yeasty sweetness. Opaque amber. Thin foamy translucent white head soon recedes. The flava matches the aroma. The sweetness is to the fore. The smokiness is there but restrained, it adds a bitter tang. Medium bodied. Flat-fizzy carbonation. Long finish. Slightly too sweet perhaps but overall nice enough.
