Jens Smagning 11/04/2024 - dark roasted and sweet malty with lots of chocolate, coffee roast, burnt caramel, some singed brown sugar, full bodied, dark roasted malty finish. Good stuff.

Bottled. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, beetroot, and dark chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, beetroot, and dark chocolate, leading to a dry finish.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Black with brown head. Aroma of licorice, black currant and coffee. Sweet with medium to full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Black malt tartness backed by syrup and dark berries. Mildly bitter finish.

Sample (thanks to fonefan!). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some roasted tones with mild caramel tones, nicely simplistic in a way. Flavour is liquorice, ashes, some sweet alcohol, coffee, herbs, beetroot and mild toffee with some dry roasted tones in the finish. Kind of a clash on ashes/roast and the sweeter (and beetrooty) tones.

ABV: 10.0%. Clear dark dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, sweet malt, sweet roasted, licorice, oat, earthy - beetrooh touch. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, oat, roasted, sweet roasted, sweet malt, licorice, salty, earthy - beetroot touch. Body is medium to medium full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20221117]
