A subtle red beer dominated by neither malt sweetness nor extreme hop. We want ‘balance’. Roast malts, whole English aroma hops and bottling with live yeast are the keys to refreshment and drinkability. Great with cheese.

50 cL bottle. Pours slight cloudy orange with a two finger thick white head. Aroma is baking yeasty and mild hops fruity. Light sweetend and mild fruity flavoured, subdued caramel malt base and more pronounced hops flavours. Light though. Ends mild bitter and light hops fruity.

Huge, dense off-white head, leaving good lace; clear-amber brew. Quite USA-smelling hops, much like fresh hops,a nd a slightly ashy, caramel behind them. Smoky, ashy - and hops, noble ones. Very good, if delicate balance. MF is the Achilles’ heel - just too light. A pity, as it promises so much. Very good pale ale, and well worth trying.

Pour is a copper with a large tan head. Aroma is a little musty and malty. Flavor is grain and some sweet malt with almost no hop presence. Finish is bland and boring. Pretty watery all around and nothing i need to have again.

Copper-brown beer with medium blond head. Malts, pine needles and some grass is found in the aroma Flavour is similar than aroma and very bitter, but not pleasant way. Quite easy to drink and carbonation is balanced. Ridgeway Ivanhoe can’t convince me at any way (or maybe bottle’s etiquette) and dustiness bothers me. I can’t recommend this beer.

500 ml. bottle. Floral aroma over light roasted caramel. Dark copper color with a decent beige head. Medium body with very mild carbonation. Lightly roasted malt with mild fruity sweetness. Enough floral/fruity hop bitter to balance. Finishes almost dry. Really, really pleasant to drink.

Pours light copper into a shaker. White head quickly recedes to skim surface leaving slight lacing. Slightly sour aromas. Crisp and well balanced with upfront caramel and a dry, bitter hop finish with medium retention. Didn’t see any yeast in the final pour...sparkling clear.
