A subtle red beer dominated by neither malt sweetness nor extreme hop. We want ‘balance’. Roast malts, whole English aroma hops and bottling with live yeast are the keys to refreshment and drinkability. Great with cheese.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear amber colour with an off-white head. Nutty aroma. Medium-bodied, malty and nutty with a slight, underlying tartness. Dry, light bitter finish. 300806

Bottled. Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma of hops, malts and metal. Also some fruits noteable. Flavour is hops and malts. Quite boring. Very lagerish beer...

Bottled. Amber color, small white head. Rough metallic light hoppy nose. Sweet malty, carbonated, mostly harsh. Even this is a bottle conditioned ale, it tastes more like a lager!

500ml bottle. Attractive amber colour with disappearing head. Corn, toffee and hop on the aroma. Caramel and cream in mouth are spoilt by the over carbonation even though this is a live beer. Perfumed hop on aroma and finish is quite nice and the hop finish is quite spicy. Needs more malt.

An amber beer with a fine head. The aroma is very lightly fruity. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel and the carbondioxide running across the tongue, before it finishes with an OK bitterness. For me it is a little too carbonated - a cask version I think would be good.

Sampled cask conditoned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm.
Pale amber. Very fruity, sweet and resiny. Generously malty with a big dose of rye bread and a salty licorice finsih. Peculiar roggenbock character.
