can. roasted malts and an almost coffee like bitterness to it. Like good UK brewed oatmeal stout. flavor is roasted malts, this dry coffee like note you might also find in guinness, some sweetness from the honey, not much coconut that I can detect, faint wood. quite complex, and also notes i remember from UK brewed milk stouts. in general reminds me of traditional UK brewed black beers. Pretty good by the way. easy drinking, quenching and better than guinness.

Can, 0.44l. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coconut and flowers. Pours almost black color with medium sized soapy light brown head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet roasted malt, chocolate and licorice, following is nutty and honeyish with mild coconut note, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Was here and there…

440ml can. Quasi black colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige to tan head. Slightly roasty, dark and oaty malty, minimally sugary aroma, hints of honey. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally sugary and minimally metallic, dark malty, hints of honey, a touch of coconut, lactose, Oreo biscuit. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth, simultaneously soft and woody (i.e. softly repellent), slightly cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Flat and monotonous, remains somehow in pure insinuation - too exerted for little outcome.

Can sourced direct from the brewery and drunk at home (14/04/2022) - Dark roasted malty with notes of cocoa, some caramel and honey sweetness coming through, ashy charred roast, more honey and some coconut coming together into the lingering dark malty finish. Goes well with the romkugler --- Beer merged from original tick of You Were Never Really There on 26 Mar 2025 at 12:11 - Score: 7.
