A dark and rich porter inspired by the Baltic porters traditionally made in Scandinavia. Roasted without being burned or bitter, with the flavor dominated by dried fruits and vinous notes. High amounts of residual sugars and a fruity aroma makes this beer the perfect companion for chocolate desserts, if served lightly chilled.
Brewed on Maris Otter ale malt, British Brown Malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, two types of caramel malt and brown sugar.

I have had this twice. Refrigerated bottle poured into a snifter. Pours a opaque black with small brown highlights and small beige head. Little lacing, thick body, some carbonation, and sweet nut aroma. Taste is excellent rich malty chocolate. Best porter I have had.

Bottle. Extremely dark brown, medium tan head that settles quickly and leaves solid but delicate lacing. Aroma of chocolate covered raisins and port wine. Taste is cocoa, dates, prunes, dark ripe cherries. Slight smoke edge. Very tasty.

Dark brown head. Pitch black color. Nose is like sticking your head into a bag of freshly roasted coffee beans. Med-full body. Lovely baker’s chocolate and dark fruit embrace the mouth. Perfectly balanced. Moderate bitterness. Not over the top or extreme by any means, but one hell of a good beer

500 mL bottle courtesy of jdubFL. Thanks Justin! 1800th rating. Hurrah. Pours nearly pitch black with a dark brown, medium head. Good head retention and decent lacing. Aroma is beautiful roasted malts with chocolate, coffee and a bit of smokiness. Vanilla, toffee and leather as well. Taste is roasted malts, coffee and smoke. Light bitterness in the finish. Full bodied and quite creamy. Damn good beer.

Tasted both the 33cl can and the 50cl bottle version. Bottle version is superior. Great beer.

Small 0,33l can, looks good. The beer in the glass deep black like oil, nice head. Starts mild, roasty malty, a bit smoky, not too dry. Finish much drier, a bit prickly-scratchy, but not too much. Very drinkable porter. Thanks to HenrikSoegaard for the beer!

Deep dark porter with a thick dark moka head. A nice funky aroma of chocolate, cold coffee, and cast iron post. In mouth, a bitter herbal chocolate, very intense, with light peated notes, cold coffee. Rich and enticing. A superb porter. Bieropholie import BB Dec. 2006. Tasted with Probstk, May 26 2007.
