A red-brown beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has cherries, sourness, barrel, lether, some balsamico and barnyard. Taste has cherries, strong sourness with balancing sweetness, barnyard. Medium bodied, some stickyness. Great intensity. Complex and balanced.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A hazy light brown beer with a nice looking beige head. Some lacing. The aroma is rather fruity, only cherry standing out, along notes of blue plums and raisin. Some apple hints, and a wee hint of oak and vinegar. It's full bodied and lightly sweet, with a good sourness and a pleasant carbonation. Generic fruityness, generic dried fruit, cherry and some oak, apple and vinegar in the flavor. Some faint notes of caramel too. Lasting finish. A delicious one indeed, very smooth and mellow. 240501

LCI. Classic barrel-forward Rodenbach. Pleasant red fruit tartness. Clean finish. That point in the share when I missed a few photos

Bottle. Grove Huddersfield. Shared with Lee. Looks tremendous. Deep ruby copper tinged red. Thick firm lasting beige foam. Nose has aged sweet balsamic vinegar. Dried fruit. Sweet oak. Light leathery funk. Taste is sweet and lightly bitter, with gentle fruity oaky tartness. Mouthfeel is slick smooth and well rounded. Carbonation is almost nitro like. Finish is fruity tart and juice laden. Oof.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper brown with airy beige head. Clear aroma of sour yeast, with touches of malt and fruit. Dry flavour of sour yeast and berries, with dusty touches and notes of malt and fruit, and hints of caramel and barrel. Dry, vinous aftertaste with fruity and malty touches and dusty hints. Enjoyable in all respects. Good evolutionary work, Rodenbach!

Bottle, 6.0% in celebration of my 20th Ratebeer anniversary. Marcipan and raisin aroma, tobacco and acid. Actually smells like good rum. Almost clear chestnut colour. Small light brown head. Semi-stable, and a little fizzy. The flavour has acid and brown sugar. The sort of dark sugar that rum sometimes has, demerera or that other kind... Acid finish. Refreshing and mellow with a bit of an acid kick to round off.

Dull reddish colour with lasting head. It's got a very soft and rounded taste. Sweet and sharp. GlacΓ© cherry base note. Not as woody as expected.
