Wat als je de schwarzwalder krisch taart combineert met een volle Stout? Verwacht in de neus tonen van chocolade, karamel en een frisse kers toets. Je treft daarnaast de karakteristieke smaken van de stout, zoals de gebrande mouten en donkere chocolade. De laatste komt in deze prominent naar voren. De fris zure tonen van de amarene kersen maakt het af en zorgt er voor dat de bitterheid wat afneemt.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with tart cherry and a touch of chocolate. Mild to medium sweet, hint of sour cherry. Moderate bitter finish. Body is medium. Lacks a little punch.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, creamy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, dark brown head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty, slightly yeasty spicy and slightly sweet, fruity aroma, notes of dark chocolate, couverture, chocolate sponge cake, some marmite, a touch of dark cherry. Taste is roasty, chocolately, dark malty, yeasty spicy and fruity alcoholic, notes of dark chocolate, couverture, marmite, some cherry, cherry liqueur. Minimally oily, watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. A bit unbalanced and disharmonious, the marmite-like spiciness doesn't match - just OK.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 23.11.2023) im 2023-03 getrunken. Bei diesem Namen erwartet man Aromen einer klassischen Schwarzwälder & Kirsch Torte und das paßt auch fast. Denn das Stout kommt mit einer kräftigen dunklen Schokoladen-Aroma daher und dahinter etwas Kirsch. Doch es hat nichts Süßes, aber wir sind hier ja auch bei DeMolen und nicht bei Omnipollo oder Amundsen die wirklich süße Stouts wie Kuchen machen. An Ende ist es mir etwas zu bitter und bin etwas bei dem Namen entäuscht. Aber auch hier findet man eine tolle Idee im Glas und Langeweile im Glas ist klar was anderes.
