Wild Cider Blended with Pear and Wild Elderflower
The elderflower blossoms were out, the pears were ready for pressing and a batch of wild cider had just got to that sweet spot, so I took it as a sign that this cider needed to happen. I’ve found some Elderflower ciders too floral in the past, so I was delighted when this cider had green, grassy notes to compliment the sweetness of the pears and that familiar perfume of Elderflower.

Draft at the Wolf on the Corner, Eastbourne. Poured almost opaque with little life. The aroma is pear, light floral. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, somewhat light, pear, herbal, light acidic palate. Medium to light bodied with flat carbonation. Are we sure this isn’t a Perry?

BIAB at Ciderdog Cider Festival, Miller London on Saturday 15Jul2023. Taste is sweet, fruity, apple, grape, elderflower with some tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium sweet finish. Quite drinkable.
