Red Men - Inspired by Florence Mine, Egremont, the last deep iron ore mine to work in Europe.The iron ore pigment, a deep red colour, was used in the manufacture of paints, dyes and cosmetics and the mine produced a never-ending supply until it finally closed. 500ml bottle from Rheged. Gluten Free. Amber with reddish tinge, tan foam head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, roasty, caramel, fruity. Taste is malty, toasted, bready, with fruity, earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy earthy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.
