From a 330ml can on 3/1/2026 (shared with Ed). Pours a deepest brown with a small tan head. The nose is malty and fruity, with hints of toffee and spice. On the sip, it's very sweet and dessertish with toffee and caramel, dried fruit and some chocolate, along with cinnamon and a touch of ginger, finishing with a light, tangy bitterness. The plate is oily, the carbonation moderate. An interesting and enjoyable big sweet porter.

Can via Bombovar. Full body, light carbonation. Lots of dark chocolatey flavours, moderate toffee, milky, light spices. Not incredibly complex beer-wise, the spices provide fun. Overall a pretty tasty and also interesting sipper.

At Borefts, opaque black, lots of rich chocolate, nutmeg, meaty notes, dark bread maltiness in the back, light to medium sweetness, liquor like notes, very smooth. Excellent, highly enjoyable.

22/IX/23 - on tap @ Borefts Beer Festival Day 1, BB: n/a (2023-625) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity start, Maraschino cherries, malty, caramel, some chocolate notes. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: weird, sourish, fruity, cherries, alcohol, dry, funky, don’t like it very much. Aftertaste: lots of liquorice, funky, earthy, more spicy, meh.
