From a 375ml can on 2/3/2023. Pours a slightly opaque reddy amber with very little head. Smells of stewed and dried with some slightly odd herbal notes. The flavours are quite bold
- stewed and dried fruit, some caramel malt, rye and nuts, with a slightly strange medicinal bitterness and a touch of booze. Syrupy mouthfeel with modest carbonation. A strange beer - by no means a disaster but ultimately doesn’t quite come together.

Can. Started at 10C which was too cold. Somewhat murky brown with a beige cap. Aroma of spiced stewed fruit, strong bread, brandy, some citrus. A little more than medium bodied. Moderately sweet, a fair bit of overt alcohol. Less stewed fruit and more hop than suggested by the aroma with zesty and spicy notes as well as pretty firm bitterness. Not bad, but not a gun.
