Bottle: Pasteurised. Available in November and December. Bottled by Marston’s.
A complex, rich tasting beer with plenty of roast malt character and generous hop flavour.

Bottle: frothy head, deep ruby brown color. Sweet muscat grapes aroma with some licorice. Butter, malt, caramel and grapes in the flavor. Some hops, but these are overpowered by the fruity sweetness. Cinnamon. Nice warming ale, in spite of it's modest alcohol content.

500ml bottle. Clear, red-brown colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, fruity malty and hoppy aroma, hints of cherry and red berries, a background-ish touch of toffee. Taste is sweet-ish malty, notes of toffee, fruity overtones with hints of cherry and red berries. Nice.

Bottle: Clear amber coloured with a ruby sheen, stable off-white foamy layer; fruity and mildly hoppy nose with an illusion of breadcrusts in the background; mild bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied, but pretty smooth; mildly lingering fruity and slightly (red-)vinous finish with a soft english hoppy "tail". No reason to get excited, just a pleasant anglo-saxon ale...

Brun klar farge med lavt beige skum. Lukter svakt av maltsødme. Søtlig i smak og medium bitter avslutning.

(bottle) Clear, dark amber to brown colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Caramelly malty nose with nutty and toasted accents, some off-flavours (sulfur) in the background. Mildly sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Toasty malty taste with notes of caramel, nutty flavours, restrained to none fruity accents; quite dry bitter-sweet finish. Quite boring. 06.II.16
