Mahognibrun klar med lavt beige skum. Lite lukt, noe lett brent karamell. Lett. Søtlig brent start, bitterheten kommer godt fra mitten og ut.

Big offwhite head. Clear deep brownish red body. Roasty caramelly cinnamon aroma with perfumy caramel and vanilla notes. Sweetish fruity perfumy caramel taste with metallic notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel with low carbonation. Dryish caramelly metallic fruity aftertaste with metallic wooden vanilla notes. It’s not bad, but a bit perfumy and artificial. (0.5l bottle, I forget where from.)

50cl bottle. clear dark amber, small thick yellow head. faint aroma that seems to be towards the bitter end, some spices or dark fruits. flavor is dark fruits, caramel, sweet bitterhops, spices. quite a lot of flavor, but it seems like it’s sort of watered down.

Clear copper-coloured beer with a good foamy head. Aroma is spicy caramel. Flavour is initially malt and caramel but there’s a nice citrus-y, fruity follow-up to that and even a tinge of hoppy bitterness as it settles on the tongue. It’s not really what I think of when I think of a Christmassy beer but, despite a slightly watery finish, it’s really rather drinkable.
