Bottle 33 cl. Black with a shortlived lightbrown head. The aroma is sweet , not to much, a bit chocolate. A bit more taste, the cocolate and the sweetness is still there with a roasted sence. Light body, a bit oily.

33cl bottle. Dark brown with a beige head. Quite unpleasant porridge, skunky aroma. Contaminated? Flavor bit better, burnt malt with some rye and coffee. Very strange. Must re-rate.

33cl bottle. Color almost black. Lots of toast and roast, coffee and chocolate in the aroma. Sweetish mocca flavour. Bitterish finish. Clean tasting and very flavorful brew.

330ml bottle from an Alko store in Finland, courtesy of Finn Hansen. Described as an unfiltered, hand made slow beer. Bubbly and dense, fawn coloured head. Nice deep, deep, rosewood body. Smell of cocoa and chocolate malts. Sweet dark malts in flavour complemented by herbal dryness and noticeable, balancing bitterness to the finish. A bit foamy in the mouth. Highly drinkable (at home, Tromsø 22.09.2009).

Smallish brown head. Opaque black body goes dark brown at edges. Roasty malty metallic earthy aroma with chocolatey notes. Dry burnt dusty sooty taste with chocolatey notes. Soft, mild mouthfeel. Lots of taste. Dry roasty burnt chocolatey earthy aftertaste. Very nice. (0.33l bottle, Alko Arkadia, Helsinki.)

Stallhagen Dunkles is almost black beer with a medium and large bubble head. Aroma is pleasant: combination with roasted malts and sweetness plus some smoke and sourness. Flavour is very similar than aroma: some sweetness, roasted malts and still some smoke. Quite easy to drink and there could be more body. This was my first time to drink Stallhagen Dunkles, but better later than ever. Convincing beer and I will bough this also later, nice beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of oh6gdx. Pours a very dark brown - almost black - with a discreet tint of red and a light brown head. Lightly burned malt finish. Medium body with sweetish hard roasted malt and some vanilla accents. Lightly malt bitter finish. Lovely beer like quite a few from Stallhagen, so it doesn’t matter much that they simply cannot brew to style. 080408
