26/VII/18 - 33cl bottle @ Waddengenot (Pieterburen, NL) - BB: XII/18 (2018-902)
Note: paired with mussels, but was way too sweet and sugary. Normally spelt beer should be spicy and dry??
Clear copper orange beer, big creamy solid white head, very stable, adhesive, leaving lots of lacing in the glass. Aroma: very oxidized, bit fruity, honey, orange peel, sweetish, floral touch. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very sweet, what the hell? Floral, bit sugary, soapy, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: a bit metallic, soapy, sugary, malty, caramel, more soap, bah...

Bottle @ home [from trade with Shivandragon] shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy yellowish color, small instantly diminishing white to off-white head. Aroma is grainy and a bit weird, which I guess is the ’spelt’ you don’t get so often. Taste also has a grainy flavor with some sweet-bitterness. Nice, easy drinkable beer. Ideal beer for someone who’s just started beer tasting. Average body and carbonation.
