500 ml swingtop bottle, from Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.4%. Cloudy straw coloured beer, big white head. Fairly strong aroma of grassy hops. The flavour is sweetish, moderately malty and grassy, but lacks a sufficient hoppy bitterness.

Bottled flip-top (Beerangel, BB 11/2009). Dark honey golden color, abit shady, good creamy off-white head. Dry straw aroma with hints of grain and honey or caramel. Medium-bodied. Sweetish maltyness, finishes to crisp carbonation. Grassy hops. Light bitterness and bready maltyness in the aftertaste. I suppose that this would be nice session beer from tap.

Bottle 50cl. w. swing top @ home.Light light unclear medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, toasted, dusty, toffee, light to moderate hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090110]

Bottled (from beerangel.de). Slightly hazy golden orange colour with big white head. Aroma is dry wood along with some hay and grains, some slight caramel malts noteable too. Flavour is quite pleasant caramel malts along with wooden and grassy hoppy notes. Easy to drink, and gets some dark chocolateish notes as it gets warmer. Smooth.

Cloudy amber with a large off white head. Malty aroma with grainy notes. Flavour was sweet malty wtih caramel and hoppy notes. Finished bitter.

previously tested on German BTO 06/2006: Im 5l-Partyfässchen kommt dieses Zwickel zu mir, gerade recht für ein kleines Grillfest. Dunkel und naturtrüb mit riesig viel Schaum tritt das Bier auf. Dazu muss gesagt werden, dass der Schaum selber schon genial ist, so sahnig, kompakt und feinporig wie er ist. Das erste Glas aus dem Fässchen bestand nur aus Schaum - normal nicht so mein Fall, hier aber Top. Ansonsten typisches Zwickelbier, malzig und mild, leichte Apfel und Honignoten. Erinnert mich wieder an naturtrüben Apfelsaft. Der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt: sehr wenig Kohlensäure. Liegt möglicherweise auch daran, dass es bereits vor einigen Tagen abgelaufen war.

50 cL bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a huge white and semi crispy head. Orange to citrus fruity hops aroma. Flavour is hoppy and fruity with a mild breadish malt note beneath. Quite pleasant and nicely balanced. Light citric flavour mixed with a breadish malt into the finish. Nice solid and refreshing.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Fine creamy head. Tastes not as strong as exspected, malty-yeasty, finish a little bit like wood. Very drinkable and good beer!

Bottle. Hay/barnyard malt aroma. Hazy amber color with moderate but quickly dissipating head. Sour barnyard malt flavor. Moderate acidity. Nice farmyard flavor.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as a light note of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw.
