Zaredali smo ovu zimu dosta tradicionalnih stilova piva – preko Baltica, do Vienne i eto nam Tripela. Dobrooo rashladiti radi bolje pitkosti!

0.5 l bottle from Pomalo Beer Shop, Zagreb. Shared with the Jolly Rogers. Unclear orange to golden, small off-white head. Lightly yeasty, fruity aroma, ripe peach, a floral note, a spicy note, cinnamon and clove. A bit more rough in the flavour, lots of alcohol, intense phenolic spiciness. Heavy, medium body, dry finish.

Bottle, 0.5l. Cloudy copper pour, thin soapy white head, short lasting. Slight lacing on the glass. Nose is wet grass, ripe fruits, mild floral notes in the background. Medium body, medium to high carbonation, lively. Fizzy, prickly mouthfeel, chewy texture. Balanced bittersweet taste. Aroma of grains, wheat and yeast. Ripe fruits, minerals, earthy. Spice. Some nutty notes in the background. Mild metallic bitter notes. Slightly sticky. Medium lasting finish, sweet, moderately boozy. Otherwise, well hidden alcohol. Not the best tripel by any standards but decent value for money.

Bottle from Pomalo ST. Clear golden body, off-white head. Soapy, flowery aroma, caramel, dusty, a bit sickly-yeasty. Lean malty taste, caramelly, soapy, soft, vague Belgian touches, but not much to it, light bitter herbal touches, peppery... Yeah, not the greatest Tripel ever. Very well hidden alcohol though, so yay.
