Bottle at home, golden colour, small head. Aroma is light grainy and malt. Taste is the same, bitter, dry, light sweet. meh

Vegue vegetable-like aroma. Vegetable-bitter flavor, not overwhelming in any way, but enough to be a bit annoying. Thin.

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local 'trinkgut', best before February 2019. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, a bit grassy-spicy aroma of grains and some straw. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, gently grassy-spicy taste of grains and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently dry and a bit watery finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Not bad for a light beer!

Fles gedeeld door TomHendriksen. Bleek gelig helder bier met weinig schuim. Weinig aroma. Smaak is fruitig en moutig. Weinig nasmaak.

Clear pale golden colour, small frothy white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma sweet malts, grain, paper, straw. Taste watery sweet and bitter, malty, grainy, cardboard. Light body, watery texture, average carbonation, meh.

Bottle from Maruhn. Clear yellow with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light hoppy - straw. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. Watery. 301114

Farblich identisch mit dem „normalen“ Pils hat es keinen so schön ausgeprägten Geruch. Der Antrunk ist deutlich brotig-getreidig, die Herbe entfaltet sich nicht so schön wie beim „Normalen“. Der Hauptteil ist viel flacher und unspektakulärer – zwar auch würzig-süßlich, aber bei weitem nicht so schön blumig-herb wie beim Pils. Auch im Nachgeschmack wirkt es brotig und „geschmacksreduziert“. Die herb-süßlich-getreidige Note hält sich aber auch noch relativ lange im Mund.
→ keine Alternative zum „echten“ Bitburger. Bei weitem nicht so süffig und auch nicht so aromenreich. Blumige Hopfenfrische taucht erst gar nicht auf. Wirklich nur für Menschen, die das „echte“ Bitburger nicht trinken können - für ein Light-Bier nämlich noch erstaunlich gut. - 9+11+8+9
