Red amber color, small head, disappearing quickly. Cake dough aroma and flavor. Sweet with a peach fruitiness. The alcohol is clearly present. Just a bit sticky aftertaste with a hint of metal. Not too bad, though.

Test vom 1.10.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,10,10,11,12,11 - 10,65

bottle, vintage, bbf 2009-may, i’ll be re-rating this when i get a fresh one. clear amber, smooth white head. Caramelly, malty aroma, hops are gone, slight berryish note too. quite sweet aroma. flavor is caramelly, malty, somewhat oxidized, Alc. better hidden than i feared, Quite amazing how well those germans keep themselves. Only faint vineous notes and the old hops reveal that this one is like 3 years old, and it s even a discount beer to begin with.

Canned. Amber colour with small white fluffy head. Aroma is alcohol, caramel malts, some bready malts, metal and also mild sugary notes. Flavour is sweet alcohol, some caramel and bready malts and that’s pretty much it. 9% in this one feels quite much burning...

33cl bottle. Pours amber with thick white head. Aroma is filled with malt. Taste is thick malty caramel / roasted/ little honey finish and slightly hoppy, leaving a thick metalic taste in the mouth and teeth. The alcohol is quite noticable and the beer tastes too unbalanced. Tastes more like a malt beverage.

Bottle. A colden to amber beer with a good carbonation and a decent off-white head. Malty nose on the sweet side, with alcohol and a fruit-syrup touch. Sweet and sticky in the mouth, syrupy, with alcohol and some grains. Full-bodied and warming. Sweet, fruity finish leaving a sticky feeling in the mouth. Some bitterness as well. The beer is too sweet and sticky, and the alochol is also a bit too evident, but it is a decent beer. Not a beer to drink a few of though. (080720)
