Bottle: Clear, copper coloured, quite quickly collapsing off-white foamy layer, dark caramalt with a heavy tinge of molasses in the nose, backed by some raisins; moderate to robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; malty caramelly finish with a delicate, but increasing bitterness towards the very end, quite well hidden alcohol. Godd, pleasant stuff, much better than expected............

(33cl bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a medium-sized beige foamy head. Sweet and a bit sugary, molassy, toast-malty and bready nose with light fruity notes of dried berries. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slightly roasted, sugar-syrupy malty taste with caramel. Sweetish and sticky molassy finish with a moderate toast-malty note. Not a great pleasure.

50 cL can. Pours amber, clear, with a slight orange head and huge one. Medium to full bodied. Sweet dried fruity aroma with a lot of sweetish malts. Flavour is dark malty, dry fruity and slight roasted. Finish is also quite dark and clearly malty. Strong but not thrilling.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a beautiful, clear amber with a small, off-white head. Lightly sweet aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Rather full-bodied with lots of roasted malt and a very distinct alcohol all the way through. Raw and bitter finish. Not exactly a pleasure, and somehow amusing to see this termed as a Doppelbock. What it really is is a Malt Liquor with darker malts. 031106

Dark amber color. Malty and alcoholic aroma. Strong mouthfeel, but some malt and caramel make of it a pretty good one. Strong final (bitterness and caramel).

Bottle. Peppery aroma. Dark copper colour, very small white head. Peppery flavour, not hiding the alcohol at all. A bit maltier than strong lager, and with a little fruitiness. Otherwise it seems to me a beer made for the alcohol, not the flavour.

An amber beer with a nice though disappearing light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of berries - especially cowberries, as well as hints of dust and alcohol. The flavor contains notes of wood, dust, and berries. The alcohol set in just when You swallow giving a lot of warmth and drying out the mouth - almost to the point that it gives You a metallic feeling on the tongue.
