Bottle. Peppery aroma. Dark copper colour, very small white head. Peppery flavour, not hiding the alcohol at all. A bit maltier than strong lager, and with a little fruitiness. Otherwise it seems to me a beer made for the alcohol, not the flavour.

An amber beer with a nice though disappearing light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of berries - especially cowberries, as well as hints of dust and alcohol. The flavor contains notes of wood, dust, and berries. The alcohol set in just when You swallow giving a lot of warmth and drying out the mouth - almost to the point that it gives You a metallic feeling on the tongue.

Very flimsy, transparent head, gone in secs; orange-red to foxy beer. Roasted grain, burnt malt - Maillard! Sweet molasses, Malztrunk, buttered bread aromas. Marzipan, bready, alcoholic taste. There is some bitterness, mainly retronasal. I get (watered down) soysauce MOUTHFEEL - but NOT taste. Slick, nearly oily texture. Thinner body as expected. Alcohol too prominent. Pretty uninteresting beer for my N° 5700 - lucky number. But unlike most raters, I cannot call this really bad. It’s as if they wanted to make a strong lager, and then called it Doppelbock to please customers. Thanks anyway, Jacob & Martin.

Ugh... this is one bad doppelbock... I’ve drunk malt liquor that’s better than this. The smell was unimpressive, but the flavor was almost unbearable, alcoholic, with hints of malt and soy. Managed to finish the 0.5 l can without spilling anything though, even if it’s probably the most cloying beer I ever tried.

Red amber. Extremely sweet, syrupy mouthfeel, some toffee flavour, rather malty. Will make your dentist rich.
