During this last season 22|23, we blended a delicious new grape lambic, the MOURVÈDRE TILQUIN À L'ANCIENNE 7.7 % alc. (available in 75cl), which was obtained from the fermentation of 185g Mourvèdre grapes by liter of lambic.

Poured from 750mL bottle (2022-2023 vintage; bb 01/02/2033). Lightly hazed orange with small white head. Nice soft funk with underlying grape skins, nice balance of sharp yet easy drinking, some feint manure notes on the nose.

Aroma: funk, grapes, some sweetness and oak, bold.
Taste: along the same lines, some nice sharpness, moderately acidic, some fruit.

750mL bottle at Tilquin, pours a cloudy pinkish red with a small white head. Aroma has a wonderful barnyard funk, musty red wine grape skins, and some earthiness. Flavour is complex and wonderfully balanced, with lots of barnyard funk, musty red wine grape skins, and leathery notes. Earthy, funky, and vinous. Excellent.

750mL bottle at Tilquin. Pours hazy dark orange with a white head. Fantastic grape skin character on the nose; great must. Flavour has a very nice musty grape skin character, old dusty furniture. This is excellent.

A: grapefruits, blueberries, bit sour lactic, woody, funky, grapes of course.
T: sour gooseberries, red berries, grapes, woody, sour lactic, grapefruits, nice puckering , blackcurrants, medium carbonation, very nice, fully enjoyed.
F: not real.

Bottle at annual Fryslân tasting. Darker amber color, small white head. Aroma is odd, kind of like a saison with red wine. Flavor is similar. Weird kind of aroma, something odd like a mix of marsipan with grape peel. Really weird, but in the flavor it works our really well. 8-6,5-8-8-8
