ACAN’S mallow tree is a cacaofruit sour ale in which we used deliciously refreshing cacao pulp juice from Ecuador. The result is a fine, fruity and crisp sour ale.
The cacao pulp juice is a fruity, fresh and zesty pulp that normally is thrown away as only the seeds are used for making chocolate. Therefore we are proud to contribute to the ZERO WASTE policy.
We dry-hopped this beer with 3 different hops.
This beer will launch you to a tropical island!

4/5 of lightly yellowish head, slowly retreating to give a bit more than one fifth of muddy, darker orange beer. Lactic acid, diary, some chocolate, cacaopowder, bark. Soured milk, soured chocolatedrink, coconut mat. Ovomaltine made with soured milk. Lactic acid. Hint at pastry/cake rind. Medium bodied, well-carbonated, slick to viscous. Almost overcarbonated, and not very balanced IMHO. Txs to Stef!

Zythos 2022. Clear blond colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a prominent lychee note. Thinnish. A bit soapy tasting. More like a soft drink.
