44cl Blik, dank Harmen! Zwarte kleur, dunne beige kraag. Zoet, chocolade, caramel, vanille, iets tonka-achtigs, gebrand, degelijk bitter, romig en zacht. Volle body. Borderline qua zoetigheid, maar zeer degelijke stout.

Black with quick fading dark cream head. Intensely bittersweet. There is a slightly savoury biscuity note and also a surprising Alpha hop earthy bitterness. From the aroma you may think it's a Black IPA.

473ml can. Jet black colour with minimally late awakening, small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Rather exotic (from my point of experience), spicy and toasty, dark malty aroma, hints of lovage, tonka beans, coffee, celery, soy sauce, mildly roasty, dark malty background. Taste is sweet-ish, roasty dark malty, spicy, somehow nutty, hints of lovage, tonka beans, celery, soy sauce, a chocolately touch as well. Slightly viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Well balanced, harmonious, homogeneous - very nice.

Black pour. Thin beige foam. Sweet flavor of maple syrup and vanilla/caramel and nutmeg. Palate is vanilla and nutmeg.

Mild coffee nose. Black, medium slow building tan head. Vanilla, then coffee. Huckleberry undertones. Full body, easy carbonation.
