Ellertaler Weisse, a top-fermented wheat beer, naturally cloudy with fine yeast. A top-fermented wheat beer from Reh. It glows towards you slightly cloudy, with a fine, well-formed foam crown. The high proportion of wheat malt gives it a sweet, fruity note, which makes it very tasty.

Cloudy yellow with a rich yellow foam. Highly carbonated. Fresh, wheaty aroma with light fruit (apple, banana). Sweetish and creamy, a little syrupy but not a bad wheat.

Cloudy golden with a huge white head. Somewhat sweet aroma with hints of wheat and yeast. Flavour was sweet with hints of wheat, yeast and banana. Finished sweet.

(Bottle at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, on 2009-06-05) Pale yellow and lightly hazy. Small white head. Fruitiness, banana and hops in aroma. Light palate with quite high carbonation. Lightly banana, fruitiness and bitterness in taste. Light fruity and bitter aftertaste.

Bottled@Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Hazy yellowish golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is wheat, some yeasst and earth. Flavour is wheat, some earth, yeast and also quite bready. A bit sweet as well. Wellbalanced

Bottled at Griess-Keller, Geissfeld Cloudy straw colour, brief head. Stromg yeasty banana skid aroma. Sweetish and fruity with rounded salty mouthfeel. Dominated by clove and banana esters. Oily estery finish. Almost over the top with yeast character.

(bottle) Cloudy, yellow colour with a massive foamy white head. Moderately sweet and yeasty wheat-malty nose, slightly sulphury with restrained banana-fruity notes and spicy phenols. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a well-carbonated, slightly crispy mouthfeel. Wheaty, moderately yeasty and banana-fruity taste; Sweet and minimal tart finish with banana and clovy spice. Decent stuff (07.03.08).

Bottle. Sweet banana, apple and clove aroma. Light yellow tan color - cloudy with medium head. Slightly sweet banana and sour malt flavor - on the watery side. A less sweet Weizen - not bad but wish it had a stronger flavor.
