Strong, bold, creamy and delicious. If you’re seeking a flavorful Porter that means business, here you go. We’ve created a traditional-style London Porter with the addition of unfermentable lactose to give you a creamier mouth feel, a technique famously found in milk stouts. The results are out of this world. Brewed with Chilean Coffee and Chilean Chocolate malts – you’ll get unbelievable hints of roasted flavors that only enhance the typical caramel flavors of traditional porters. We then cold condition our Imperial with Venezuelan Cacao nibs which impart a harmonious hint of chocolate and coffee to what we only call an “Imperial drinking experience”. We think our Imperial Milk Porter is unlike that of any porter you will find.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black with a finger's worth of tan foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, sweet earthy tones, strong notes of coffee, subtle cream underneath
Flavor: sweet to roasty initially, brings in a sly bitter earthy to coffee tone for balance with the chocolates and coffee aspects; mild aftertaste of coffee & chocolate
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper, pretty smooth along the tongue; finishes smooth and roasty
Overall: very nicely done imperial porter well worthy of having again

16 oz. Can from Wegman’s. Pours dark and frothy. Looks like a root beer float with the ice cream hidden. Smell offers some sweetness, notes of chocolate and vanilla, and a side of toasty malts. Taste rides along the border between a porter and a stout. “Imperial-ness” is kind of light. A good porter with some nice sweetness. Just the alcohol does not quite rise to meet the malt. Still enjoyable late in the evening.

Can from Tavour. Pours like Guinness. Dark brown color with a creamy tan head a la Guinness. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and dark malt. Med body or so. Flavor is spicy in a light way with lots of chocolate, dark malt and some coffee. Heat isn't noticeable. Not dry, but far from sticky. Some lactose in the finish.

Can at home the imperia Porter style is tougher than planned to find. Dark brown black pour and a finger of foamy beige head. Nose is cocoa and caramel. Tastes much the same with additions of some earthy bitters, tobacco smoke, rootbeer and vanilla. Very smooth and pleasant

16 ounce can. Nearly opaque black brown color. Large frothy tan head leaves clinging lace. Roasted malt nose hints at milk chocolate and earthy coffee. Sweet roasted malt flavor. Notes of chocolate, coffee and licorice. Some creaminess in mouthfeel. 11% ABV is somewhat subdued. Long bitter finish and aftertaste.
