Keg at the Melbourne Public, Melbourne. A tinny lager with metallic finish. Standard carbonation and look. Logo a bit too much like ballast point.

On keg at the MCG, Melbourne. Now this isn’t great, not much aroma or flavour. But in comparison to Carlton Mid, it wins hands down! Inoffensive. Pale straw in colour. Light grains, easy drinking.

Bottle, now says "Original" on the label? Golden, low white head, light sweet corny malt notes, a hint bittering hops, light watery body, mostly clean but has a very light sticky aftertaste. Not so great....

(Bottle) Clear straw with small short-lived loose white head. Aroma is grain with cardboard hints. Light bodied and fizzy. Awful taste. Initially a bland inoffensive vaguely sweet flavour which quickly disappears to being very watery with some slightly lemony notes appearing at the end, plus some metallic hints in the aftertaste. Truly awful, but not so awful as to pour it down the sink. It’s more like a slightly flavoured soda water.

From a 330ml bottle on 15/3/2015. Pours a clear deep golden with a biggish bright white head. The nose is stale grain and corn. In the mouth, it more stale and sweet grain and vegetable, with no evidence of hops to be found. Thin body and average carbonation. Beer really doesn’t get much worse than this. Abysmal.

On tap. I think this beverage actually qualifies as beer, but it certainly doesn’t have any characteristics that make me like beer.

Clear bottle, bad sign. No aroma, bad sign. No taste but bubbles. No aftertaste. Amazing! Not offensive, just nothing. The world’s 1st invisible beer.
