330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average,frothy, half-way lasting, white head. Grainy, strawy, slightly bitter hoppy aroma. Taste is flat pale malty, grainy, strawy, subtle sweetness, a lime dash in the finish a well as a soapy note.

Canned, 0.50l. Clear pale golden with medium frothy white head and soft carbonation. Aroma of malt with corn notes and grassy hops. Classic lager taste with a bit spiciness, otherwise crisp and dry with light bitterness in the finish. Light body, thin texture and soft carbonation in palate. Why the hell Beck’s can’t make a decent beer?

Ich habe dieses Bier 2012 getrunken. Da war es für mich das erste Bier, das in einer durchsichtigen Glasflasche jene Leute ansprechen wollte, die kein bitteres Lagerbier und auch keinen Radler mögen - meist junge und/oder weibliche Leute. Es ist eigentlich gar nicht so schlimm -der Pilsgeschmack ist nícht schlecht komponiert, es ist halt einfach unglaublich wässrig und langweilig. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass man es im Sommer trinken kann, auch wenn es nicht mehr eiskalt ist (es wird nicht schal); der Nachteil ist, dass es unglaublich wässrig und langweilig ist. Ich kann verstehen, dass es Menschen gibt, denen so etwas schmeckt, auch wenn ich mich nicht wirklich dazu zähle.

Gold...I thought that might mean a little more powerful lager. How wrong can my imagination be.....
Unusual light colour with almost no head. Light malt aroma. Waterish texture and an unusual light malt flavour. Very flat malty with no biterness at all. Did they forget the hops? Then they could have written so on the can.

Kulturbahnhof, Jena, thanks Morko! Erm, golden? Smells vaguely eggy, tastes soft and slightly eggy. They appear to have tried to make the least potentially offensive lager possible. And made one of the duller available.
