Ins Glas ergießt sich ein rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, süß, fruchtig, Karamell. Geschmack röstmalzig, stark fruchtig süß, Karamell, schokoladig, leicht alkoholisch.

Antrunk ganz leicht süßlich und sehr malzig. Im Hauptteil wird das Bier vollmundiger und alkoholisch süß, aber noch nicht penetrant. Hinzu kommt eine volle Malznote. Richtung Nachgeschmack machen sich aber doch störende Bitterstoffe breit, die einen sehr chemischen Touch haben. Auf der Zunge verbleibt – nach einem anfänglichen chemischen Aromen-Schock – eine ganz leicht röstmalzige Note mit schön abgestimmter Herbe. Das Bier wird von Schluck zu Schluck besser. Allerdings ist die alkoholische Süße im Nachgeschmack doch etwas störend. Und auch die Herbe Note tritt etwas penetrant in den Vordergrund.

[Thanks to kevnic2008]. Bottle. Brown colour with an off-white head, quickly diminishing. Aroma has notes of toasted malts, caramel and nuts. Flavor is toasty, mild sweet, dry fruits are present, toast bread hints with medium maltiness. Toasty and caramelish final.

Bottle @ yespr. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel and dark fruit aroma. Fruity malty spicy caramel and dark fruit flavor. Has a sweetish malty dark fruit finish.

500ml bottle. Clear dark amber/brown colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, off-white head. Caramel malty aroma. Taste is monotonously moderately sweet caramel malty, dry hoppy overtones.

Poured from a half litre bottle into lager glass, about one finger head, subsiding to short head that covers the glass. Dark, dark brown...held up to light, and still can’t see through.... Fair amount of carbonation and nice heady amount of malty aroma... Strong taste, just right for a dopplebock. Alcohol not apparent at first, but kicks in late... a nice winter warmer

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium to dark brown colour with a large to huge, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, toasted, caramel, brown sugar, light roasted, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, burnt malt bitter, sweet caramel - brown sugar. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120203]

Dark brown, ruby with a thin off white head. Aroma is smokey, light chocolate, caramel, light alcohol. Taste is light smoke, taste is a bit sour, some chocolate- alcohol is well hidden however.
