Sample at Bob's Bar. Hazy amber-orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a dark orange color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar, pine, orange and lemon. The flavor was very sweet with sugar, malt, pine, citrus and moderate alcohol. Very long finish. Full body.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/6/2018. Pours fairly crystal clear medium golden/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, cracker, toasted bread, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Touch of booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, cracker, toasted bread, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, cracker, toasted bread, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Mildly increasing warmth of 9.5% after the finish. Overall this is an awesome DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the ABV, with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Feels like Columbus, Citra, Simcoe. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a nice bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressively well made style example as expected. Very well attenuated for the ABV.

12 ounce bottle shared by hershiser2. Rating a 2019 release in 2018.... Woot? Hazy orange, large frothy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of leafy, green, mango, dank, pale malt. Taste is resin, pine grapefruit, leafy hops. Medium bodied lingering bitterness.
