Warning! Early amateur rating! Very dark beer but the malts don’t taste as dark as it looks! Crisp and slightly dry. Not bitter. Decent.

500ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a small, non-lasting head. Aroma is caramel malt, slightly burnt, marzipan and a tiny bit of apple. Not much to start. Marzipan and caramel finish with apples on the aftertaste.

Bottle. A clear, chestnut colored beer topped by a small, beige head. Dried fruits, caramel and hints of alcohol in the aroma. The flavor is pretty much the same, sweet caramel backbone, with dried fruits and a little warming alcohol. Full-bodied, with a sweet finish. A nice one, straight forward and clean, but maybe a bit too straight forward. 091120

A strong one without head (or it is disappears quickly) with fizzy carbonation. Very nice complex aroma of roasted malts, caramel and i can feel walnuts also. In the sweet flavour there can be found some molasses, and nice roasted, caramellic palate and mouthfeel. A strong enough alcoholic body, which is not as thick as i expected, but it is enough because of the alcohol. Short aftertaste, but a long warmth in the mouth.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark brown pour with a reddish sheen. Beige head which vanishes very fast. Aromas of brown sugar, pine nuts, cocoa beans, herbs, caramel. Good carbonation. Flavours of licorice, dark fruits, cinammon, raisins, malts. Sweet, malty finish.

Bottled 500ml. -from Sörspecialista.hu, Budapest
Dark amber coloured, medium sized pale beige head, caramel malty nose. Roasted malt, caramel and dried fruits with metallic and alcohol notes. Also quite vinous. Sugary finish. I drank it around midnight and that was not the best solution. Too sweet.

500ml bottle bought at the Bier Spezialität Laden in Berlin. Ruby coloured body, deep and clear. Shining surface. Firm malty smell with a touch of dark fruits. Pleasant flavour of plums, leafy hops and nutty malts. Tart dark fruits to the finish. Rather vinous palate (shared with Richard at a hotel room in Berlin, 21.11.2009)
