Bottle thanks to hopscotch. Pours with a light, off-white head that fades, and leaves weakish lacing over the muddy amber brown body. Aroma of raisins, currants, toffee, soy, unami. Taste is toffee, caramel, bread, with some nuts, rotting fruit and licorice. Finishes pretty sweet. Syrupy mouthfeel with light carbonation and decently well hidden alcohol.

500ml bottle. Toffee black amber color, thick and murky. Alcohol certainly present in the aroma along with some bown sugar. Foamy head that fades out. Sweet mellow brown sugary flavor that fades into a bocky yeast deliciousness. Lots of toffee notes. All the way malty, some minimal hopitude way off in the distance. Well done.

Pretty huge toffee melanoidin malts, bready and sugared, hints at cocoa and fermenting prunes. Even bigger fuller rounded sweet toffee malts wash over the palate, nicely balanced, never cloying. Clean, almost refreshing. Very tidy. Appealing almost purple color, smallish head but good lacing.

Pint bottle. Ok, cola color it is, but it does have garnet hilites. Strong caramel aroma that’s a bit vinous. Very pleasant. The tan head didn’t stay long. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is dark caramel, and there is a tar note. Finish is mildly sweet with dark caramel. Bitter does come forth at the finish, and it doesn’t end overly sweet. Sweet, though. Pretty good beer with some unique taste notes.

50 cL bottle. Pours cola brown with a fully diminished head. Spiced to light herbal malt aroma. Flavour holds a light metallic note to a solid malt base and a dry raisin to dried fruity flavour. Light fruity and mild nutty. Ends with a mild sweetness and a lingering malt base and light fruit note on top.

Pretty decent dopplebock. Not as malty as I prefer but still good. Decent but not in the Optimator/Celebrator league

0.5L bottle. Hazy reddish brown, strong aroma of malt molasess and brown sugar with some floral notes and milky sttreaks. Flavour is dominated by dark bitter chocolate and some cocoa, sweet but not overbearing. Medium full body and quite smooth. My first dopplebock and i hope for more.
