Amber colour with a big, off-white head. Aromas of figs, bananas, yeast and cloves. Smooth drinking with more banana and clove flavours and a sweet finish.

At the Beer Garden next to our campsite in Freiburg, Germany, 13-06-10 Sat drinking this whilst watching England limp to a 1-1 draw with the USA. Pours mid brown with white head. Banana some cloves and a little fruitier than expected, nice enough. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Bottled. An amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of wheat, caramel, and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, wheat, caramel, and some fruit, leading to a dry wheaty finish.

Bottle, 5.4%. Weak soy aroma, perhaps a little farty malt. Almost clear amber colour. Good stable off-white head. The flavour is grainy with a semi-sweet maltiness. Does not really taste much of wheat. Grainy finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Unclear greyish brown with a small head. The dark malts leave a caramelish touch reminding me of a Belgian style ale, but the body and the alcohol don’t really match. But quite a decent representative of it’s style. 201102
