bottle, boughtat Kloster Weltenburg. Clear yellow colour with a large and persistent white head. Fruity nose. Malty, slightly fruity with some herbal hops and very shy hints of wet cardboard. A bit like their Barock Hell, but a bit lighter in flavour.

Bottled (Beerangel, BB 01/2010). Interesting, Weltenburger lager brewed by Brauerei Bischofshof. Clear yellow color, small steady white head. Metallic and cardboardish aroma, some malts. A bit watery, metallic malt flavor. Some cardboard, quick finish. Hard mouthfeel. More or less normal pale lager. Below normal Weltenburger quality and way too overrated here.

Bottle, 4.9%. Grainy aroma. Golden colour, sparkling. OK stable, plasticky white head. The flavour is a little sweet with herbal hops. Not too interesting. Citric finish.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of straw, but also a light touch of citrus, and so is the flavor.

As Weltenburger Kloster (bottle). Light spicy aroma with light malt. Golden color with a white head that went down immediately. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is a little bready, spicy, must be floral hop? It’s more dry than sweet, and there is significant bitter in the finish. Very good drink.

The bottle looks really good. The aroma mild and spicy. Flavor a little bit drier, the same spicy. Very good and drinkable beer.
