Aroma has milk, caramel and a slight herbalness. Sweetish flavor with caramel, some yeasty bitterness and pear. Some licrice as the beer warmens up. Good beer, but not one of the best of its kind.

Dark murky brown with a thick beige head that settles slowly to leave decent lacing. Aroma of caramel and banana. Flavor of butterscotch and nutmeg. Medium body. Decent example of the style.

Bottle: Amber coloured, almost clear, quickly diminishing fluffy off-white head; fruity (dark berries) and wheat-malty nose; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, medium bodied, quite soft MF; sweetish dark malty and dark-fruity finish. Not bad, reminds me a bit of a belgian Oud Bruin........

Huge, fluffy yellowish head; copperish colour with coppergreen shine. Very much banana; sourish wheatnose. Some faint, leafy bitterness over some banana, wheat and other fruity esters. Bit earthy, metallic in the finish. Not very assertive. Medium bodied at best. Despite the initial high carbonation it feels a bit flat. Average D.W., nothing more.

Frischer Antrunk, nur leicht malzig. Dabei trotz der erkennbaren Muffigkeit erfrischend, brotig-bitter werdend, mild. Test vom 26.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,10,8,-,9 - 9,63

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a slightly cloudy orangey brown with an off-white head. I detect a bit of fruit in the aroma. Medium body, lightly fruity - perhaps some accents of overripe apricots and a whiff of yeast. Lightly sweet finish. 230506

An unclear amber beer with a huge light brown head. The aroma contains lots of wheat and banana, but also slight notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet wheaty, but also has notes of banana.

Bottle. Sweet banana/peach aroma. Cloudy light brown color with ample head. Sweet dark malt aroma balanced with the banana. Very good but tastes more like a regular Hefe than a dunkel.
