Bottle from LCB. Pours a reddish brown with small beige top. Aroma and of sweet malt with caramel, wood, some mixed fruits; not bad. It's quite drying and light bodied but not overly thin for a low alcohol beer. By the finish you notice the lack of booze and almost has a kvass quality to it although not overly sweet in taste.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Mild malty roasty aroma. Starts mild, a bit washy, but still with some fine malty roasty notes. Some caramel, some woody hints, mild bitterness. Not bad!

Smooth mild beginning. Hints of grain in the back, caramel, malt. Not too deep but nice sessionable. Caramel in the back, grain, neutral but nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Old Ale Low Alcohol on 15 Jun 2023 at 22:43. Original review text: Smooth mild beginning. Bottle at The Royal Oak Borough. It pours darkest mahoganny brown with a small white head. The aroma is wood, sweet maltage, malt loaf, caramel, leather and wood. The taste is firmly dry, bitter - sweet, toasty grain, wood, leather, bit of caramel, touch of cola and earth with a drying finish. Light body and average carbonation not a bad go at the Old Ale with minimal alcohol. Had it side by side with the regular on cask. Caramel probably is too big a part of this beer, but it stops the body from being too thin. Not bad.
