Very deep, yet clear, copper and bronze coloured body that brings out a bit of a ruby and pink glow, all underneath a remarkably beautiful three centimetre tall, long-lasting tan, microfoamed head. Aroma of sour fruity candy with soe oranges, apricots and grapes noticeable as well, but the malt, yeast, alcohol smell a tiny bit at the end, but the fruit is pungent. Medium-bodied; Relatively crisp floral and very perfumey character up front that shows more sweetness than you would expect, but the alpha acids are surprisingly low, which gives the sweetness and malt extra room to make an impact, especially for the style. Aftertaste is crisp, but again, more fruity, earthy, nutty, malty and especially sweet - than any form of hoppy or bitterness. Overall, a decent-ish beer that looks great and smells nice (albeit not akin to the style), but is lacking in complex, enjoyable flavours and substance Nice to try on the cheap, but don't go out and try to find this one - it'll be disappointing. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 14-July-2020 for US$1,87 sampled at my house here in Washington on 23-July-2020. Rating for Original Sample: 6,5,6,2,12 Can #2: (Purchased 28-June-2022 for US$1,87/mixed six, Canned 01-June-2022 and Sampled: 26-August-2022): Super hazy straw and bright yellow coloured body perhaps not even making the colour gold since it's so hazy and opaque, with a two to three centimetre tall off-white head that fades about on average and leaves a pretty nasty lace on the sides. Aroma of citrus fruit, pretty dank and resinous, grassy hops with a bit of flowers and bitterness, here, too, along with a pungent lactosey and fructosey sweetness, with some alcohol in the nose, too. Medium-bodied; Fairly rich and pungent oaty and wheat malts show at first and provide a lot of depth to the flavours with some citrus fruit, melons, grass and papaya sweetness at the end and no pervasive bitterness. Aftertaste is very rich from all the malts with a kick of additional sweetness derived from the fruits here, but some lactose and full cream seem noticeable as well, with a slightly dry, but very robust finish. Overall, a very nicely structured IPA with a ton of malts to support, but even more fruit flavours from the hops, but no bitterness, pungency and only a tiny dash of alcohol here - this is purely new school and it works out great! Great to sample this local-ish and fresh, much better than I remember/wrote about, before on my first can, unless the recipe changed?!?! Rating for this sample: 8,4,9,4,16

Dark gold pour. Thin foam. Sweet fruit taste with an undertone of hops. Sweet taste on palate. Very good.

Pounder: Orange and lillies aroma, gum drop overtones. Clear amber, medium head, nice lace. Whole orange. Medium body, easy carbonation, warm. Tasty but simple.
